ABOUT ME

I am a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER specializing in NEWBORN, MATERNITY, CAKE SMASH and FAMILY PORTRAITURE

Tosin Iyawo Ogaga (and my trusty sidekick called Canon)

I would shake your hands if I could or hug you even, but let my smile be the proof that I'm happy you're here.

My name is Tosin. I'm a baby-loving-child-friendly-fun-factory kind of a lady and I love to capture moments that matter. I live in Aberdeen, Scotland with my husband, Ogaga, and 2 lovely children whom we fondly call Drama Queen and Bumble Bee. We are an artistic family (Ogaga is a very talented artist, dare I blow his trumpet) and are raising our children to appreciate the beauty in every form of art while training them to be able to create their art as expressed by their unique personalities.

Photography was passed down to me by my dad, who carried his hi-tech camera to every function and family reunion. He never let any moment slip by without capturing it through his lens. I lost him when I was 16 but soon realised that he was right beside me as I exhibited many traits that I could only attribute to him. It wasn't long before I became the photographer at most functions of friends and family. It does sound funny but I remember the wedding of two dear friends where I had to step in because their photographer could not make it. I took lovely photos of their beautiful ceremony and produced a wedding album with the photos I took using only a camera phone.

Like my dad, I also am a trained engineer. Safety and attention to detail have been a big part of my life for a very long time. As I transitioned to Newborn Photography, I realised how my foundation as an engineer sharpened my skills and heightened my awareness, as my little clients must be handled with utmost care and attention. So when you bring your baby to me, you can rest assured that your wee one is in good hands.

I have loved kids for as long as I remember and have the unique ability to put them at ease and make them feel comfortable. Most parents ask how I have such patience with their children and babies and I can only call it a gift. It brings me so much joy to amplify their unique personalities and traits so they can shine through every photograph I capture.

It has been a wonderful journey transitioning to full-time photography. I did not let my fear of running a business kill the potential of what I knew would bring me so much joy. As I run a home studio, I invite my clients into my space and that makes it all the more special to me because I want them to know that they are loved and they are accepted. It is my desire, through my art, to give people the opportunity to see how beautiful they are, as I look at them through my Father's eyes.

ABOUT MY STUDIO
I currently run a home studio in Bucksburn, Aberdeen and because I work from home, I have created a space that invites my clients to feel comfortable and secure. My space is continuously cleaned and sanitized, not just for the safety of my family, but also for my clients that come in daily.

There are times when clients have requested home sessions or outdoor locations. I am happy to travel to clients' homes or other outdoor locations if they are comfortable with that. I only make them aware that certain props may not be available to use when I have to travel to them.

I have several props and printed backdrops available to my clients and I am happy to style their sessions as uniquely as possible. Hence, they leave with a feeling of fulfilment, looking forward to their galleries as something to cherish.

My doors are open from Monday to Saturday.
